Shipping Details

No PO Boxes, no military bases and only English characters. This is due to a high risk of your package being stolen and also because we need someone to acknowledge the delivery of your C-Rest. Backers whose address doesn’t comply with the previous requirement will be forwarded to the second shipment.

The address provided has to be valid for a period of at least 2 months once we send out our surveys. Please notify us if your address changes before we start shipping.

How to receive your parcel

An automated email will be sent as soon as the shipping starts, we would recommend to:

  1. Double check your spam folder in case you didn’t receive it.

  2. Email us within 48h after the shipping update is posted on Kickstarter so we can provide proper help

  3. Tracking information: If there are no tracking updates after 7 days we would recommend to get in touch with the courier to receive further updates.

We would recommend to closely monitor your tracking information, in case there is a failed delivery, delay or your parcel is held at customs.

If your parcel is returned to us and the reason for this return is our fault, we will ship a new one immediately free of charge. On the other hand if the package is returned after several failed deliveries, if the package was not picked up at the post office… We would kindly ask you to pay for the extra shipping costs that will incur as we will cover the costs of it being returned.

Customs: In some cases (depending on the courier) the courier might call or drop an email, however the most certain thing is that they would update the tracking information. Unfortunately, if a package is returned form the customs, we would kindly ask the customer to pay for the extra shipping fees that will incur to process a new shipment as we will cover the costs of your package being returned to us.

German backers: As we have learnt from our previous campaigns, there is a high chance of your package being held at the customs:

  1. In some cases, the package will be released without any required actions on your end.
  2. In some cases, you would need to go in person to free it.

However, in both cases we would recommend to first get in touch with the customs’ office to learn more.

Can I cancel/return/change my pledge?

Due to the nature of Kickstarter, we cannot offer refunds to backers once the project ends, with the exception of the unlikely instance of a defective reward being shipped out. Once the campaign ends, your pledges are put to use immediately to ensure that C-Rest enters into production as soon as possible. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds once the campaign has ended.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
